COMPACT Mini PORTABLE oscillosCOPE WITH PWM Generator
DSO-138 PRO this is the newest oscilloscope in the FNIRSI product family and it was sent for review by FNIRSI. You can buy it with or without battery and with aligator clips and probe or just the aligator clips.
It has a really compact format and the case/shell is not much bigger than the display size.
The display on other hand has a very good and bright image and you can notice that the refresh rate is clearly higher than the oldest model DSO-150 that I had here for comparation.
Instead of having the normal PWM output wook for probe calibration, FNIRSI sends in the package a 4 pin part to solder on the PCB that will give you a PWM signal generator that allows you to set the bandwidth and also the dutty cycle of the signal, which is a pretty cool feature for a small device like this.
You have the battery and battery less versions availabel, even buying without the batterry you can later upgrade your oscilloscope just by buying a normal 3.6V flat battery and connect it to the socket available for that.
The fact it has battery is pretty cool and make it trully protable, a nice feature for a small oscilloscope.
In terms of bandwidht you have 200Khz and 2.5MSa/s sampling rate. Not much, but it is inline with the oscilloscopes in this range, is about the same that you have in the DSO-150, a superior model.
The fact that you can buy it probe for just a few extra 3€ to 4€ or about $5 is nice, since you will have for that price the probe and also the aligator to bnc cable, since the second one is already included.
