If you’re like us, you surelly have a bunch of devices that work with the F960, F970 or F550 batterries…. studio led lights, cameras and many other equipments that use this battery, originally created by Sony, but that now the market is flooded with clones and compatible models,
In our recording studio setup, we have the Viltrox L123T and our Neweer 660 led lights that use this kind of batteries for operation. If we consider only the Neweer 660, we need two batteries per projector.
When is time for charging, the traditional chargers, are too slow to charge and worst, they don’t give you the information that we need, how much is charged, and that was the reason that made us buy this charger for TechCorner.TV, At that time we tought there must be a better way…
After a review and analysis of we compiled a list pros and cons that is listed bellow:
- 4 simultaneous charging channels
- Big led display for information
- Per channel charging information in percentage
- Different battery adapater available for charging other battery types
- You can connect direcly to power line, using a power supply or USB 5V 2.1A
- Only one power socket occupied for each 4 batteries
Even if we don’t have any major remarks to do on cons, we leave here an observation:
- Per channel information is displayed on the battery direction, this means that we have half of the information (2 channels) upside down or four channels in lateral view, it will be preferable that the information is directed all for the same side.
Other than this small observation, we really are very satisfied with this product and if you are like us and have a lot of batteries to charge, this product is a must. Remember you can charge differren kinds of battery at the same, so you charge NP-F960 or other at the same time you charge the Canon, Nikon, Sony etc camera battery. Just need to buy the adapters that are about $4 to $5 a pack of two.
